Types of Hydraulic Cranes
Hydraulic cranes are among the most frequently used types of crane within the construction industry. They are used to build everything from skyscrapers and buildings to freeway overpasses and roadways.

Cranes come in a huge range of units, sizes and styles. These various models enable the owner and operators to carry out many more functions in their industry. Choosing the best type of crane is crucial for making sure that the material could be moved safely and efficiently to the location it needs to get to in order for the construction process to start.

Truck Cranes
Truck cranes would usually have 2 different cabs. One cab is utilized to drive the truck unit when in transport mode, while the other is for controlling the crane. These cranes are extremely helpful for building sites where a crane is needed in numerous different locations for the duration of the build. This is due to the fact that the crane can be easily driven from one place to another.

Cranes could also be transported to different construction sites on the road as they drive themselves, which eliminates the need for extra transport vehicles. Being able to travel on their own really lessens transport costs at the end of the day.

The truck crane however is not stable enough to handle all the major loads that a hydraulic crane could handle. Thus, to be able to fix this issue, outriggers could be extended from the deck. The outriggers use hydraulic pressure to be able to slightly lift the truck off of the ground, making it balanced and stable.

Crawler-Mounted Cranes
Crawler cranes feature large tracks on the base of the crane. These huge tracks are like the ones seen on other construction machinery like backhoes and bulldozers. The tracks enable the crane to successfully move around a construction locations.
